Very true. This is one of them.

It’s not very often that I decide to have a long fangirl rant about how much I enjoy a game (or in this case a series of games). However on recently replaying the Baldur’s Gate saga I feel an urge to write about just how amazing the series is. So hold on to your +3 swords and prepare to accidentally grow 6ft white beards, as here is my retro rant of the Baldur’s Gate games. (more…)

Ask the people over at Rareware whether they would like to work on a project where you build a garden to attract walking, talking creatures that usually hang from ropes at children’s parties, and they’d jump at the chance.

Putting a build-em-up on a console, however, is an altogether more difficult feat than humanly imaginable!

Phantasy Star Universe does little to be amazing in terms of gameplay, but what it does deliver is a simple, fun, addictive experience in a colourful sci-fi world…
Or better yet….buy a cheaper console and play this! February 8, 2007

It’s not often a game leaves me begging for more like a puppy lapping at its mother’s soft, sweet teet. But this one did. And in my opinion it’s one of the most underrated games of all time.

Enchanted Arms
Enchanted Arms is the first Japanese RPG to appear on a “next gen” (XBOX 360, PS3, Wii) system but sadly however this is about the only “next gen” thing about the title. Enchanted Arms is a cookie cutter JRPG to the extent that it has a linear path, a basic story, random battles, a cast of quirky characters and is lengthy. Fortunately this in itself is not a bad thing as, if you enjoy JRPG’s then your bound to enjoy Enchanted Arms.

“Loveless” – anything but! October 15, 2006

I’ve been devoid of a good shonen ai fix for some time, and Loveless being a fairly cheap score on the market (even more so for me seeing as Ayana bought it!) I thought it would be a good investment into good male bonding. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Loveless manages to squeeze in something for everyone…unless of course you are a mecha fan.

Knights Of The Old Republic II
A while has passed since the events of the first KOTOR game and the galaxy is a very different place. The Sith are spread across the galaxy and lack the strength they did in the past, but the Jedi are in a far, far worse situation. Jedi are a dying breed hunted to extinction by ruthless bounty hunters and the Sith themselves… (more…)
Things They Don’t Tell You About Uni But They REALLY Should… September 20, 2006

After all of three days at university, you start to find out certain things. Things the guidebooks, leafelts and assorted other rubbish failed to tell you. Important things. This is a list of the ones I’ve found out so far. Forgive the indent, I have no idea how to get rid of it.
